Is there a Registration Fee?

No. Walk-in auditions do not require video submissions.

Yes, you can walk with an instrument to play while you sing.

That is up to you. Well-known artistes can audition via video submissions or can come to the walk-in auditions.

You can record yourself on your phone singing the song you are entering. It must be in landscape mode and without lead vocals on the track.

No. This can be done at home or at a rehearsal. The better the quality of the video the better your chances of winning over the judges.

No, it can be any song. This video is just to prove that you are a known artiste to qualify for video submissions.

The judges will review both the walk-in auditions and the video submissions and select their semi-finalists.

This will depend on the judges decision based on the auditions.

No, you must choose 1 category.

No. You must be 25 years old on the day of the final

Yes. You must be a minimum of 16 years old on the day of the final.

All judges and coaches are experts in their fields.

This is a service offered to everyone in the competition, if you feel you do not need it then you will not be obligated to participate. However, this is mandatory for all Youth Soca Champion entrants.

This is the same Itz Rome x SGP production team that produced “Carnival Catwalk” with the addition of Intl Producers who produced “The Voice”, “American Idol”, “The Grammy’s”, “BET Awards” , “Dancing with the Stars”, etc.

Lollabee Group and SFX, who have produced events such as “Xperience”, “Mega”, “Out in South”, “Stink and Dutty” etc

The show will be aired weekly on CNC3, regionally across all Caribbean islands, and streamed on the Pavilion Plus App. 

No. The Youth Soca Champion as well as the Ultimate Soca Champion will be performing on the same stage, same night, and in the same format regarding semi-finals and finals, etc because it is one competition.

No, but there will be special prizes for these categories.

Yes, but not for auditions.

The minimum fee that any artiste will receive in the finals is 50k, which will go towards the artiste’s performance fee as well as presentation.

Yes, the Ultimate Soca Champion must defend their crown. However, the Youth Soca Champion does not and will not be guaranteed a spot in the final the next year.

The judging criteria have been structured such that weight is put on the quality of the performance overall.

Yes, for both semis and finals. Each artiste will be given 2 band rehearsals for semis and finals.

No. Whatever song is entered for the auditions will be the song performed for the finals.

No props allowed, 2 dancers maximum.
